January 2008 – no fatalities reported.

 February 19, 2008 – A worker was struck-by a bulldozer on a sewer and watermain  project in Aurora.

 February 20, 2008 – A worker working off a ladder fell on an ICI project in Toronto and on March 11, 2008 succumbed to his injuries.

March 2008 – no fatalities reported

 April 22, 2008 – A worker fell approximately 50 feet through a roof opening of a storm water storage reservoir on an ICI project in Georgetown.

 May 12, 2008 – A workers while walking across the 3rd storey roof of a multi-residential project in Toronto was struck-by a section of pipe that fell from the 23 rd floor.

 May 25, 2008 – A worker fell approximately 22 feet off a roof on a residential project in Kingston.

 May 28, 2008 – A worker (electrician) was electrocuted on an ICI project in Hamilton

 May 30, 2008 – A worker performing work on a hydro tower fell on a project in Navan.

 June 17, 2008 – A worker was struck-by a curb machine on a road project in Ottawa.

 July 18, 2008 – A worker fell approximately 20 feet off a roof on a residential project in London 

July 28, 2008 – A worker was burned as a result of an explosion on a residential project in Kitchener and on July 29, 2008 succumbed to his injuries

 July 29, 2008 – A worker fell approximately 25 feet from a mezzanine level to the ground on an industrial project in Halton Hills

 July 30, 2008 – A worker was struck-by an asphalt grinder on a project in Mississauga

 August 2008 – no fatalities reported.

 September 8, 2008 – A worker fell 12 feet off of a ladder when the anchor supporting a  6” steel pipe weighing 250 lbs failed while it was being raised.  The worker was working on a commercial project in Ottawa.

 September 15, 2008 – A worker fell approximately 18 feet from the second floor stair opening of a new single family dwelling in Hamilton to the basement after standing on and breaking through a partially cut piece of plywood.  The worker sustained serious head injuries resulting in unconsciousness.  The worker succumbed to his injuries on September 28, 2008

 September 24, 2008 – A worker fell through a skylight at a project in Toronto while carrying boxes.

 October 8, 2008 – A worker was fatally injured after becoming entangled in a drilling rig while performing investigative boring at a project in Hamilton.

November 3, 2008 – A worker was fatally injured when he fell from a two storey residence in Peterborough.  The worker was working alone while replacing windows, siding and window trim.

 December 12, 2008 – A worker on an elevating work platform was found pinned by the machine.  The accident occurred at an ICI project in London.  The worker succumbed to his injuries on December 21, 2008.
