Green Book Training
This area of training is often overlooked. This
is not a regulated program but employers have
been charged and fined for not ensuring
supervisors and workers are familiar with the
provisions contained within.
This program will accomplish three objectives;
1-Give the participant a overview of the Ontario
Occupational Health and Safety System. 2- is an
excellent way for employers to ensure
supervisors and workers are trained to
understand their responsibilities under the
Occupational Health & Safety Act. 3-Learn how to
effectively navigate the OHSA and construction
regulations without frustration. 4-discuss
several OHSA issues and typical construction
issues and MOL expectations.
This program will be of value to all Health & Safety
Representatives, Workers, Supervisors, Project Managers, Company Owners and
anyone else who would like to become more familiar with the OHSA
As a minimum requirement Supervisors are the company’s
representative on site, and should be trained as such. The Act specifies that
employers must appoint a competent person as supervisor, one of
the 3 items making a person competent, is familiarity and knowledge of the act
and regulations. This program will give you that knowledge.
